First edition of the Synergie Solaire workshops
Exclusive moments reserved for the largest donors of the fund to discuss different topics related to the renewable energies sector and the social and environmental challenges of our planet with inspiring figures
The objectives of these events for Synergie Solaire are:
- To thank its major partners for their support and commitment;
- Nurture their reflection on current issues by allowing them to meet, in small groups, quality speakers;
- Continue to unite companies around a social and environmental issue that concerns all of us: access to renewable energies for the most disadvantaged, in order to pool capital and skills and leverage the impacts on the field;
Then Synergie solaire seeks to convince companies to join the fund’s actions, in concrete application of their CSR strategy.
The first workshop took place on the 5th of March 2019, from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, at the Roquelaure Hotel – Salon des Aigles – of the Ministry of Ecological and Solidarity Transition, in Paris.
It allowed the present partner companies – BNP Paribas, Envinergy, Finergreen, Huawei, Jpee, Ténergie – to exchange with Bertrand Piccard.
Bertrand Piccard, explorer who flew over the world with the first zero-fuel plane with perpetual autonomy, is now considered as an influential opinion leader on the themes of progress and sustainability. His ambition is to promote the pioneering spirit in favour of the renewable energies and clean technologies. He created the Solar Impulse Foundation, and the “1000 solutions” for the protection of the environment in a profitable way.
“We need to adopt clean technologies and effective solutions, because they are much more than ecological, they make sense. They create jobs and generate profits, while reducing CO2 emissions and preserving natural resources. Even if climate change did not exist, they would make sense. Clean growth is much better than the current status quo. »
Bertrand Piccard shared with the fund his vision on the renewable energies potential to contribute to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDOs) of the United Nations (UN).
